History

Eric Schuurman began his involvement with New Media in 1986 using Amiga computers to create medical animations. His experience with the web started when he enrolled at Columbia College, taking their first Internet theory course in 1993. He edited video for what became Poland’s MTV in 1996. When he returned to Chicago in 1997, he began developing E-Learning, programming Bill Kurtis’ New Explorers series.

Schuurman Communications was incorporated in 2002. Its primary assets include Eric’s hands-on experience as a programmer, editor, and animator, as well as his knowledge of the New Media formats, production processes, and community. Schuurman Communication’s diverse clientele includes companies with widely varied needs and objectives. Schuurman Communications draws upon the resources its experience affords to contour programs best suited for its client’s needs.
